Terms of service

Rasengan LLC, trading as Rasengan Data · 411 Meadow St, Fairfield, CT 06824, USA · [email protected] · Last updated October 25, 2026

These terms apply when you buy or use a data file or service from Rasengan LLC, trading as Rasengan Data ("we", "us"), at rasengan.win. By checking out, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you buy for. If you do not agree, do not buy or use the files.

1. What you buy

You buy access to a data file built from public records, as described on its product page: what it covers, which columns it has and how often it is refreshed. Most files are monthly subscriptions. Some are one-time files or services; you pay for those once and no subscription starts.

2. Your licence

While your subscription is paid up, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the files for your own internal business purposes. That means you may:

  • open, sort and filter the files, and load them into your own CRM, dialer or email tool;
  • share them with your employees and contractors who work on your business.

You may not:

  • resell, rent, sublicense, publish or give away the files or any substantial part of them, as-is or changed;
  • use them to build a list, database or service that you offer to others;
  • use them as a factor in deciding whether a person is eligible for credit, insurance, employment or housing.

Files you downloaded while subscribed stay under these terms after you cancel.

3. The data is public record, provided as is

Our files come from public government registries, such as the FMCSA Motor Carrier Census, the California CSLB license data and the Texas Comptroller's permit data. Contact details are as each business filed them. The agencies do not verify them, and neither do we.

We work to keep the files accurate and on time, but we do not guarantee that any row is accurate, complete or current. The files are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are a private company and are not affiliated with FMCSA, CSLB, the Texas Comptroller or any other government agency.

4. Your responsibility when you contact people

You alone decide whether and how to contact anyone listed in a file, and you are responsible for doing it lawfully. This includes, where they apply:

  • the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and FCC rules, including the rules on autodialed and prerecorded calls and texts;
  • the Telemarketing Sales Rule and the National Do Not Call Registry;
  • the CAN-SPAM Act for email;
  • state telemarketing, do-not-call, texting and privacy laws.

Honour opt-out requests promptly. You agree to cover any claims, fines or costs that we face because of how you used a file in breach of these terms or the law.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card number. The price is shown on the product page and at checkout. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance, on the same day each month as your first charge, until you cancel. If we change a price, we will email you at least 30 days before your next charge at the new price.

6. Free trials

Some subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial. Today only the New USDOT carriers weekly file has one, and checkout shows whether yours does. You enter a card at checkout, and you are not charged during the 7 days. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged the monthly price on day 8, and then every month after that. One free trial per customer.

7. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time by emailing [email protected] from the address you used at checkout, or yourself in two clicks at your billing page. Cancelling stops all future charges. We do not give partial refunds for the rest of a billing period. You keep the files you have already downloaded, under the licence above.

8. Refunds

If you were charged by mistake, or a file was not delivered or is materially different from its description, email us within 7 days of the charge and we refund it in full. Details are in our refund policy.

9. Ending access

We may suspend or end your access, without refund, if you resell the files, use them unlawfully or otherwise break these terms. We may also stop offering a file; if we do, we will cancel the subscription so you are not charged again.

10. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about the files or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change matters to active subscribers, we will email them before it takes effect. Continuing your subscription after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
