New Texas Sales Tax Permits This Week — every business that just got permission to start selling (with NAICS and county)
3,896 Texas business outlets were issued a sales and use tax permit by the Texas Comptroller between 2026-10-04 and 2026-10-10. 2,142 of them are restaurants, bars, hotels or retail stores (NAICS 72, 44, 45), of which 1,276 are physical storefronts (the 866 online and direct sellers under NAICS 454 carry a nonstore_retail=Y flag so you can drop them in one filter), and 71.7% are flagged as genuinely new outlets rather than re-issued permits. Every row has the trade name, the legal entity behind it, the outlet street address, the county name, the 6-digit NAICS code with its industry title and the permit issue date. Rebuilt every Friday from the Comptroller's Active Sales Tax Permit Holders file.
